Filmmaking personality test

I spotted this on the Shooting People posting

Filmmaking Personality Test.

Glancing through the papers I found this guide to the key personality traits that drive people to become filmmakers. Score yourself either 0, 1 or 2 on these and the higher your score the more suited you are to a career in film.

Item 1 Glibness/superficial charm
Item 2 Grandiose sense of self-worth
Item 3 Need for stimulation/proneness to boredom
Item 4 Pathological lying
Item 5 Cunning/manipulative
Item 6 Lack of remorse or guilt
Item 7 Shallow affect
Item 8 Callous/lack of empathy
Item 9 Parasitic lifestyle
Item 10 Poor behavioural controls
Item 11 Promiscuous sexual behaviour
Item 12 Early behaviour problems
Item 13 Lack of realistic long-term goals
Item 14 Impulsivity
Item 15 Irresponsibility
Item 16 Failure to accept responsibility for own actions
Item 17 Many short-term marital relationships
Item 18 Juvenile delinquency
Item 19 Revocation of conditional release
Item 20 Criminal versatility

Oh no, wait a moment… hang on, hadn’t read the article properly… oh no, sorry, that’s the Hare PCL-R, the test they use to pick out psychopaths. Don’t know how I could have made that mistake…

Sex and power

Is it the sex or the power that drives people like Strauss-Kahn? The documentary about the crash, Inside Job, revealed how the money men would splash out huge sums on strip clubs and escort agencies - because they could. The world has been built around these people and they believe the rest of us exist to service their needs. They use violence to get what they want because power trumps all and they mostly get away with it. They live in such a grubby, duplicitous world that the constant humiliation of others through the exercise of petty power becomes an addiction.
